A radio station brings such '80s stars at the Village People to Bangkok for a 'Rewind' music festival

VR1 Radio salutes listeners in their 40s by taking them back to the glorious sounds of 30 years ago in the “Big ’80’s Rewind Festival”.
The event is being held at Hall 106 of the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Bitec) Bang Na on March 29.
The rewind festival features five key artists from the 1980s. They are English singer-songwriter and musician Rick Astley, who topped the charts with his 1987 hit “Never Gonna Give You Up”, American singer Belinda Carlisle, formerly of The Go-Go's, Tony Hadley, lead vocalist of Spandau Ballet, Johnny Hates Jazz, an English pop/rock outfit and Village People, who scored a number of disco and dance hits including “YMCA”.
“It is the first ever concert in Thailand to gather together the pop artists of the ’80s,” says Kulpong Bunnag, chief executive officer of VR1 Radio, who’s joined up with Angkoon Srikanlayanabuth of Thai Life Insurance, Yutthana Tuvapradit of Mcot, and Nandhika Varavarn of Bangkok Airways in organising the show. “We guarantee that everyone will enjoy the concert.”
The press conference was studded with artists and celebrities, among them Wasu Sangsingkaew, Nueng Jakkrawal, Norasate Mudkong, Sobchai Kraiyoonsen, Pom Arisara, Bee Khanakham, Po Yokee Playboy, Tannatonn Palakawong Na Ayudhaya, Wongsakorn Rasmidathe, aka Ton McIntosh, and Sukanya Miguel.
