Chinese tourists adapt quickly

I chuckled when I read Vint Chavala grumbling about Chinese tourists’ improper behaviour in Chiang Mai. I think he meant to be either funny or sarcastic.
He complained that the Chinese “tend to drive speedily on the wrong side of the road, and often go against traffic on one-way streets”. (Do they drive on road shoulders too?) He also complained that the Chinese “often stop [their vehicles] in the middle of busy intersections” and that they “litter and hang their clothing on the balcony railing”.
The Chinese must follow the adage “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” So don’t be surprised if they start to smoke in no-smoking areas or jump queues or urinate in alleys.
