Owed by L’Oreal since 2008, Yves Saint Laurent Beaute was recently re-introduced to Thai A-listers through an exclusive gala dinner organised by L’Oreal Luxury Thailand at W Hotel.
The most Parisian of all French brands, expressing a style in between elegance and freedom, YSL has constantly evolved over the years, asserting itself as a player of the here and now. The history of YSL fragrances is paved with success. Ever since the creation of “Y” in 1964, YSL has produced complete olfactive manifestos. A societal dimension running through the brand, in the image of Saint Laurent himself, who posed nude for the launch of his first fragrance for men, Pour Homme, in 1971.
Opium, Paris and more recently Parisienne are the brand’s best known women’s perfumes. The latest fragrance for the ladies, Manifesto, launched in Europe last year and available here from next month, proposes a new statement of free and bold femininity.
Also available next month will be YSL’s makeup and skincare lines.
“What is both exciting and fascinating is that staying true to the spirit of Yves Saint Laurent means that each day we have to be seen as surprising, innovating, unexpected and a ‘break-away’ brand. Being true to Saint Laurent is about being modern. I’m sure that the brand’s reintroduction will excite Thailand’s women, who are very demanding when it comes to beauty,” says international general manager, Stephan Bezy.
