The Premier Group recently launched Premiera – Exquisite Jewellery, its newly high-end jewellery brand featuring Italian technology, at its first boutique, the Exquisite Jewellery Store. The concept is “Never Ordinary – but Boldly Beautiful”.
The glittering masterpieces, worth Bt200 million in total, were shown in a fashion show in the Hall of Mirrors at Siam Paragon.
Managing director Achiraya Inkatanuwat Worawongwasu pointed out that Premiera might be new, but the Premier Group has long been acknowledged globally for its expertise in gemstone selection and diamond cutting that’s ranked in the world’s top five.
“With the help of experienced Italian jewel experts, we are confident in every single stone we use, as well as our excellence in design and the best technology. Our product is very unique.”
Nithi Lertsumitkul, a fourth-generation member of the family behind the group, said the new 194-square-metre store reflects the brand’s identity, emphasising its luxurious side as well as uniqueness.
Saranya Lertsumitkul, also of the fourth generation and an executive at Premiera, said the brand’s most captivating feature is matching the colours, tones and undertones of various types of gemstones and diamonds to make the most magnificent pieces.
In the fashion show, the diamonds, rubies and rare, delectable blue sapphires usually only seen in museums added up to more than 100 carats in weight. They came from the group’s own private collection and had never been shown in public before.
The highlights included the Emerald Cut Diamond at 18.92 carats, remarkable for its perfect symmetry and flawless internal clarity in E colour. An E Color perfectly cut Pear-Shape Diamond came in at 7.54 carats, and a Cornflower Blue Sapphire from Sri Lanka in a “cushion cut” and unheated (natural) colour weighed 41.13 carats.
Also from Sri Lanka was the 51.59-carat, oval-shaped Royal Blue Sapphire with a truly breathtaking depth of colour. A heart-shaped Siamese Ruby at 8.67 carats. Siamese rubies are no longer found in nature – they exist only in private collections.
