Central brings the world's top watches to Thailand

Her Royal Highness Princess Somsavali recently graciously presided over the grand opening of the Central International Watch Fair 2013, an event that’s considered one of the most magnificent watch fairs in Asia, 
The event, now in its 15th year. brings together more than 180 watch brands from around the world that were earlier shown at Baselworld and Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Switzerland. The timepieces, which include ticking works of art by Piaget, Sarcar, Harry Winston, Bvlgari, Corum, Franck Muller, Breguet, Blancpain and Tiffany & Co, exceed Bt5 billion in value. 
Colombian ambassador to Thailand, Andelfo Jose Garcia Gonzalez and his wife Astrid Amaya, along with Viktor Vavricka, Swiss Embassy minister joined Central’s Mookda Chirathivat, Ratana Chirathivat Norpanlob and Nidsinee Chirathivat at the opening, which featured a presentation of funds to the Princess to support the Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation, Thai Red Cross.
Wichayanee “Gam The Star” Piaklin, sporting a Bvlgari Serpenti Tubogas valued at Bt440,000 on her wrist, entertained with the song “Natee Tee Ying Yai” then handed over to six young celebrities to model the six highlighted pieces of the event. 
MR Chalermchatri Yukol paired with Nantinee Amaranand to showcase the Ateliers de Monaco Grand Tourbillon Carre d'Or Xtreme Precision valued at Bt6.2 million and the ladies Frederique Constant Slimline Tourbillon valued at Bt1.9 million.
Zode Thanavisuth wore the Parmigiani Kalpa Resonance Hibou costing Bt21.768 million while Niki Chatikavanij boasted the Harry Winston Premier Ladies, valued at Bt12.666 million. The finale was presented by Akan Chirathivat wearing the Piaget Dancer Exceptional Piece, valued at Bt37 million and Porrama Raiva sporting the Breguet Marie Antoinette Detelle valued at Bt7.575 million
Another Piaget Dancer Exceptional Piece priced at Bt32 million sparkled on the wrist of Praiya Suandokmai, and Ananda Everingham proudly wore the Harry Winston Opus 13 valued at slightly more than Bt14 million,
The watch fair continues through September 30 at The Event Hall, 3rd floor, Central Chidlom, and at the watch departments of every branch of Central Department Store and Zen.
