But the leading man, who got his start in GTH’s hit 2005 comedy “Pheuan Sanit” (“Dear Dakanda”), will be back next month in “I fine ... thank you ... love you”.
Sent the script by director Mez Tharatorn, Sunny couldn’t reach for the phone fast enough after he finished reading it. He just had to have the lead role as Yim, a gruff mechanic who struggles with English and seeks help from a tutor, played by Preechaya “Ice” Pongthananikorn. Yim wants to learn English so he can go to the United States and make up with his ex-girlfriend, played by Japanese former adult-video star Sora Aoi.
Yim is wild and foul-mouthed, generally a bad boy. And Mez reckoned Sunny would be perfect.
“I don’t know if that is a compliment or what,” Sunny recalls with a laugh. “I wish I could say that the character is totally different from my real personality.”
“I fine … thank you ... love you” is in cinemas on December 10.
Mod modified
“Don’t be too nosy about my nose,” is the message singer-actress Napapat “Mod” Wattanakamolwut has for fans and their horrifed reactions to her recent cosmetic surgery.
“My nose! Whatever I do, it’s none of your business,” she ranted online from the privacy of her home.
But in public, Mod modified her tone. Showing off her new look at the Monlada Fifth Anniversary event at the W Bangkok hotel, Mod explained patiently that she did indeed have a procedure.
“I had a nose job once, but this was my second time,” she said calmly, adding that she realised her nose wasn’t “perfect” and that cameramen were constantly struggling to find the right angle for it. Ultimately, it was her mother who suggested she “finish” the job.
So the singer, half the RS Promotion pop duo Four-Mod, consulted with a Thai doctor and then flew to South Korea for the surgery.
“I had it done a month ago,” she said. “It could be perfect after six months. The Korean doctor told me that my face would change a lot, and he asked if I am okay with it. I think it’s okay,” she said.
Now folks are wondering if Mod’s had any other work done.
“No,” she says flatly. “Cosmetic surgery is no longer secret or a bad thing. If I had any other procedures, I would have opened up about it. I did tell everyone about my nose,” she said.
