No fancy glasses needed with Moet & Chandon's tiny, perfect bottle of champagne

THE FUN CROWD at Maggie Choo’s was guzzling Moet & Chandon Champagne straight out of the bottle earlier this month, but it wasn’t as decadent as it sounds. It was the launch of the Mini Moet, 200-millilitre bottles of Piccolo bubbly. The event, “Mini Moet Maxi Glamour”, evoked the sophisticated glitz and glamour of 1970s New York.
“The brand constantly comes up with new experiences and innovation,” Moet & Chandon senior brand manager Sirigunya Aksaranan explained amid a din of giggles. “This time we’re bringing liveliness and fun to Champagne lovers in Thailand with the introduction of the Piccolo, which is more widely known as the Mini Moet. The mini-bottles have been a huge hit at elite parties and celebrity red-carpet events such as the Oscars, the Golden Globes and the Cannes Film Festival.”
The Mini Moet is the smallest bottle of champers available in Thailand, its contents just a bit more than what you get in a standard Champagne flute, which is 120ml.
That’s what you might call a “healthy” amount of alcohol to consume in one day. The bottles are designed for drinking from directly, without the dreary hassle of searching around for an actual glass.
With access to the most extensive vineyards in the Champagne region of France and with centuries of expertise, Moet & Chandon guarantees consistent quality in every bottle of Moet Imperial, Rose Imperial and Grand Vintage.
The flagship of Moet & Chandon since 1869, Brut Imperial represents the pinnacle and the most universal expression of the brand’s style. It reflects the diversity of the three Champagne grapes – and their ability to complement one another.
Brut Imperial, which is now also available in the “mini” size, makes a wonderful prelude to dinner and a fine accompaniment to every course, all the way through to dessert. It’s perfect with sushi and dumplings, shellfish and fish in light sauces, poached, roasted, or lightly sauced white meats, and fresh fruit salads that aren’t too sweet.
