Beauty experts often say that your hair can make or break your total look.

Beauty experts often say that your hair can make or break your total look. I couldn’t agree more! Most women have experienced a “bad hair day”, when your hair just doesn’t seem to cooperate with you, no matter what you do to it. When you are not happy with how your hair looks, your confidence plummets.
When talking about beautiful hair, many of us think about style and colour, but not so much about its health. In fact, the health of your hair is more important than what colour it is, or how you style it. Great hair looks good on its own, even if you don’t style it in the morning.
Healthy hair is glossy, silky, and bouncy. Most of us boasted lustrous locks when we were young, so how did we end up with dry and damaged hair today?
The health of your hair is determined by many factors. Nutrition, sun exposure, chemicals and hair styling all contribute to how your hair looks. For example, if you’re always out in the sun, use an iron curler often, and dye your hair regularly, chances are your hair will be damaged. Ageing in general also makes your hair less healthy than it used to be.
As we grow older, our hair goes grey. This happens to everyone, though usually at different times. Some people have grey hair in their 20s, while others don’t have it until late 40s. You can slow down the greying process by making sure your hair gets the nutrients it needs, such as biotin, which plays an important role in the production of keratin. Keratin keeps your hair healthy and can ward off grey hair to a certain extent.
Another common problem is hair fall, which can be triggered by a number of factors, such as stress, allergic reaction to hair products, insufficient nutrients, and more. Genetics also plays an important role in this problem.
This, however, doesn’t mean it’s not preventable or treatable. Using hair tonic or lotion with minoxidil on the scalp can help stimulate hair growth. Minoxidil is the only topical hair product FDA proven to stop hair loss and to re-grow hair in both men and women.
Laser treatment can help make sure the scalp absorbs the ingredient more effectively. Low-level laser therapy is a non-chemical, non-invasive treatment for hair loss.
It works by stimulating the production of energy at the cellular level, therefore improving cell function. The hair looks and feels thicker, fuller and healthier, with visibly improved hair growth.
This should be done continuously, about twice a week for three to four months. Results will be visible after the first few months.
Once your hair grows back stronger, it is important to keep it healthy. Eating healthy food, using mild shampoo, and protecting the hair and scalp from harsh sunlight can help your hair stay healthy and beautiful.
