WORLD NO 81 Kiradech Aphibarnrat is confident about the way his game is shaping up after an impressive start on the European Tour this year.

Kiradech, since teaming up with new coach Pete Cowen this season, has posted two top-10 finishes – tied fourth in Abu Dhabi and tied ninth in the Qatar Masters. Although he missed cuts in the events at Dubai and Malaysia, the Thai No 2 believes he is moving in the right direction.
“We have been working hard together over the past two months. Even when we are not together, we contact each other through e-mail. I also send him clips of my swing,” said Kiradech, who stopped by at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course last weekend to support fellow Thai players in the LPGA Honda Thailand.

“I had two top-10 finishes at the start of the season. I just have to do it on a regular basis. In the first two weeks, my swing was pretty good but I need to practise more,” said Kiradech, who returned from a holiday in Japan with his wife Tunyatorn Chaiyarat.
“I have to work more on my ball flight, the downswing and the impact position of my club face. I’m having a two-week break and I feel really fresh. I am confident of producing better results in the weeks to come,” said the 27-year-old, winner of three European Tour titles.
The Thai will play his fifth event of the year when he enters the Hero Indian Open, which starts next Thursday. He has not won a title since winning the ADT event in Hua Hin in October 2015 and hopes to end the barren run soon.
“I want to do well in India as I won my first international event there (Sail Open, an Asian Tour event) in 2011. One of the goals this year is to win a title. I need to boost my confidence. But the main target is to return to the top 50 and play on the PGA Tour,” he said.
