Thai-Australian photographer Diane Durongpisitkul will share her experience of her travels and photography in Africa on April 4 from 7 to 9pm at the House of Lucie in Ekkamai Soi 8
Entitled “Tales from the Local Minivan – Journeys through Africa”, the talk will cover her trip through various parts the African continent, most of which were reached in a local minivan. As a budget traveler, the local minivan was an integral component connecting her to the communities to which she travelled. Riding local transport, eating at local eateries and staying where locals stay, rather than where other tourists are, she says, leads to a more authentic experience and compelling visual stories.
