Canadian expertise will help develop Malaysia's first geothermal plant, in Kota Kinabalu.

Vancouver-based Continental Energy Corporation (CEC) recently inked a Sales and Purchase Agreement with the project developer Tawau Green Energy Sdn Bhd (TGE) to enable it to become a 10 per cent shareholder in TGE.
TGE managing director Ramzi Raad said CEC had been actively involved in the oil and gas industry. Ramzi said the geothermal power plant in Tawau’s Apas Kiri would have a capacity of over 100 megawatts.
