The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has launched three initiatives involving screening, vaccination, and food distribution points for homeless groups in the capital, in a bid to contain the Covid-19 outbreak.
IN A BID to prevent homeless people from sleeping inside Hua Lamphong train station at night, the State Railway Authority (SRT) last week strictly enforced an order to close the railway hub for three and a half hours.
The government has set up a command centre to tackle the problems faced by needy and homeless persons in Bangkok and peripherals in a bid to help prevent human trafficking of children, according to chief spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd.
