The World goes truly Turkish

The World goes truly Turkish

Turkish Culinary designer Ayhan Coner, executive chef Aydin Demir and their team along with fashion designer Ozlem Suer fly into Bangkok later this month for a 10-day food-meets-fashion event at The World.

Curated by Emel Sevil Ozer, the festival runs from November 21 to 30 and features a range of dishes from the country with some of the oldest fusion dishes in the world. Influenced by the ancient Greek, Persian, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires, Turkey boasts some of the oldest ‘fusion’ dishes in the world, with flavors and recipes refined from Central Asian, Middle Eastern, Eastern European and Balkan cuisines.
The all-you-can-eat menu of Turkish delights is priced at just Bt850-plus for lunch (food only) and Bt1,690-plus for dinner inclusive of a free-flow drinks package.
Alongside The World’s regular international buffet, special menu items to look out for include Steamed beef with vegetable and mastic gum, Lamb Chops Casserole with dry fruits, Sirloin beef cook in pot with cinnamon stich, Pumpkin Soup with chestnuts, Milk pudding with icing sugar and rose water and much more.
The World is on the 24th floor of Centara Grand at CentralWorld. Find out more at www.centarahotelsresorts.com or follow the conversation at Facebook: Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld and Instagram: Centaragrand_Centralworld.
