That's changed with her groovy "Woodstock" collection, which she created for the CC-OO brand owned by Jaspal. It's for young women who are "not too feminine".
Koi says she's been approached before to sell her designer fashions in Thailand, but declined.
"Most of my collections use cashmere as the main material - it doesn't suit the climate."
She's always though of her clothes as sculptures. "They suit people who are really into arts and want to be distinguished."
Woodstock will still have the feel hip but will be more practical, and, more importantly, more affordable.
Keen for Ken
Theeradej "Ken" wongpuapan, in Bang Na over the weekend to open the new SB Design Square furniture store, attracted an army of media who could have cared less about the sofas and bedroom sets for sale.
Instead, the reporters wanted Ken to be a spokesman for his wife "Noi" Busakorn, and talk about her debut as producer.
"We're gearing up," he told reporters of the Channel 3 soap opera in which he'll play the hero. "We proposed the story and the station was interested they've given us the nod."
The couple have set up a production company and have hired a team that includes Yuwadee "Yu" Thaihiran as an adviser and Chuchai Ong-artchai as a director.
Ken named four possibilities for the heroine - all favourites with Channel 3 viewers - Araya "Chompoo" A Hargate, Janie tienposuwan, Cherry Kemupsorn and Piyada "Om" Akkarasenee .
Production is set to start in November, at which point Ken hopes he can step back and just work as an actor, and let his producer wife's work speak for itself.
