Araya “Chompoo” A Hargate and Chermarn “Ploy” Boonyasak are always bound to get attention, and especially sharing the same stage, a rarity.
And in true star style, they did their best to steal the spotlight from one another. If Ploy danced, Chompoo danced too. “I told myself before the show that I’m very beautiful and I’m rich,” said Ploy, explaining how she summons self-confidence. Chompoo retorted that she does the same thing.
Okay, girls, enough! It was funny, though, because offstage they’re the best of friends. In fact Chompoo said she looked no further than Ploy when she needed a presenter for her own contribution to the fashion scene, the Mingle handbag, which is debuting today – online only. Watch your favourite websites for Ploy to pop up.
“Ploy was my first choice to be the presenter because she’s free!” Chompoo joked. Actually, she said, Ploy is perfect because she appeals to young shoppers.
Flood victim
Not every love story ends with the arrival of the famous “third party”. Krittheera “Kem” inpornvichit has announced that she and architect Duangrit “Duang” Boonnag have split up, but “There’s no third party,” she said. “We parted on good terms.”
In fact what’s taken Duang away is his former family’s need of assistance. “He’s back doing his fatherly duty,” Kem said. “During the flood crisis he started going back to take care of his kids. It’s very nice of him, but I think he’s too exhausted to keep running between his family and me. So we agreed to split up.”
