Teenager Danthai Boonma produced consistent golf to seal the boy's Class A trophy by seven strokes in the TGACAT Junior Golf Championships, which earned him a berth in the Thai team at the 33rd Asian Pacific Championship in Burma later this year.

Heading into the final round at the par72 Evergreen Hills Golf Club in Kanchanaburi with just a one-stroke advantage, Danthai kept his cool to sign off with a 71, while his closest rival Nanpha Somnuk suffered a disastrous round of fiveover 77.
However, the two earned the right to represent the country in the Championship widely regarded as the premier event at junior level in the region, where Thailand have won the team titles in both boys and girls divisions for four consecutive years since 2008.
Khon Kaen native Parinda Phokhan came from behind to clinch the title in the girls’ Class A division by signing off with a remarkable 69, pipping overnight leader Wad Paewchimpree, who endured a nightmare round of 77, for a spot in the Thai roster for the Championship.
Pachara Kongwatmai from Song Khla won the boys’ Class B title with a staggering seven-stroke advantage over Aekthamrong Luenganurak. Both, though, made it through to the Thai team.
In a battle for the only qualification spot in the girls’ Class B category, Kanpanichnant Muangkamsakul prevailed after posting an even par  final round to snatch the trophy by three strokes from Budsakorn Sukphan.
