A new collection and a new logo lead the fashion house into its next 40 years

Fashion house Jaspal has a new logo designed by artist Hathairat “O Futon” Charoenchaichana to commemorate its four decades in Thailand and help launch its spring-summer collection.
Hathairat’s logo combines images of 40 years of fashion with patterns representing Jaspal. You’ll see the logo in window displays, on packaging, and on the Mini Cooper S awaiting the winner of a lucky draw.
The latest collection was shown at CentralWorld recently, with more than 40 foreign models on the catwalk. Pastels predominated in updated classics of the 1950s and ’60s. The finale featured guest models Chermarn “Ploy” Boonyasak and Jenny Thienphosuwan.
There were five key looks for women. Cotton Candy Baby was the most pastel of all. Jackie and
Marilyn evoked two iconic ladies of the ’50s and ’60s in glamorous hourglass silhouettes and sweet prints.
Cosmo Mediterranean is a relaxed style for the holidays with nautical cues in white, red and blue. And the Prints Go On is the name of a more experimental line utilising complicated patterns and prints but simplified shapes.
Savannah Glamour adapts South African safari motifs in linen, khaki and denim.
For men, Jaspal has three looks. There’s the neat, smart Paul Newman appeal of ’50s Sharpness in shirts, suits and accessories for both formal and casual outings.
Nerdy Charm is for the cool guy whose always overlooked because of his thick-frame glasses, with simple clothes reminiscent of the late 1980s. Business Sleekness emphasises precision cutting and dark tones.
