Marsha shared her plans at the opening of an actual (as opposed to virtual) ebook shop called 4Dbook. She said her makeup guide would be ready in about two months and the new album will be out on July 26, “a combination of easy listening, dance and rock”. It’s being issued as a regular CD and a box set for collectors with the lyrics and background information. “The price will be slightly higher but I’m so pleased with the quality!”
The album comes in response to fans’ requests gleaned during her two-year absence from the music scene. A concert will follow. “I’m not ruling out all job offers, but I just can’t accept any TV work right now,” Marsha said.
And that goes for personal relationships, too. She was less than pleased when someone asked for a status update on younger actor Petai Ploymeekha, a possible boyfriend. “I want to work now so please don’t push me. Don’t match me with anyone – I can find someone myself. I must have said this 500 times already.”
Why we’re proud
Thailand’s complicated politics has prompted the PM’s Office to put Thai cuisine and Thai boxing under the National Identity Office instead of the slew of agencies that have been overseeing them.
First items of business are a Muay Thai Hall of Fame and a Thai-cooking curriculum for schools.
Government streamlining falters, though, with the establishment of two separate committees of 20 members each – experts and various ministries’ appointees. Their mission is to make sure all Thais count their cultural blessings and to promote these activities overseas.
Surely the AXN TV show “The Challenge of Muaythai” and crowded Thai restaurants all over the world are already taking care of the last part. Chances are that the government has only just recognised the fortune waiting to be made.
