Teresa Palmer, Hollywood actress, is the new global face of Artistry. She was in Bangkok last week at the launch of “Artistry Youth Xtend.”
Under the brand’s new chapter concept “Forward Beauty”, Artistry by Amway offers a more youthful look with the new product based on the idea of reprogramming the skin’s future. The new anti-ageing facial care diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, repairs damage and protect against future damage, explained Jesse Leverett, senior research scientist.
The “Artistry Forward Beauty Day” highlighted Palmer alongside Jesadaporn Pholdee, the heartthrob Thai actor.
Palmer is best known for the box office hits “I Am Number Four”, “Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, “Bedtime Stories” and “Take Me Home Tonight”. She recently finished shooting Terrence Malick’s “Knight of Cups” with Christian Bale, Natalie Portman and Cat Blanchett, and also stars in “Love and Honor” with Liam Hemsworth and “Warm Bodies” with Nicholas Hoult, slated for release in 2013.
She has been touring Asia for a couple of months, to countries such as South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and Hawaii. Next is Germany. She said that, apart from her travels, since last year she’s done five movies.
“Working a lot, I try to get enough rest, drink lots of water and, for my beauty routine, I cleanse and moisturise,” she said. “I loves the new Youth Xtend collection very much. My favourite is Cream L/X.”
However, when Palmer was asked what she likes most about herself, she said it was her smile. “When I smile it means I’m happy. It shows a positive and warm attitude, so it is very important for me to smile as much as I can.
“True beauty is about how you feel – being positive and happy – which I believe shines through to the outside.”
Maud Pansing, vice president, Global Beauty Artistry, elaborated on the re-branding of the 50 year old brand that continues to thrive as one of the world’s top five best-selling premium skincare brands. She said the campaign introducing “Forward Beauty” encapsulates Artistry’s global promise to push the boundaries of women’s beauty through three key pillars.
First is “Discovery” – searching to find precious natural ingredients for the premium products. Second, “Imagination”, seeks out trends and influences what’s next in beauty with groundbreaking colours and skincare cosmetics.
Third is “Invention”. “With 183 patents on performance technologies held currently, we develop the most scientifically advanced beauty solutions for women worldwide, as well as new visual elements of the brand – redesigned logo, icon, packaging and partnering with Teresa Palmer, the Hollywood star as the new global brand ambassador.”
Leverett gave an expert overview, saying “Artistry Youth Xtend” is a beauty innovation resulting from long research and development efforts by Artistry scientist.
“It highlights a combination of the brand’s patented LifeSirt, a rare effective Mediterranean botanical extract from myrtle leaf – our exclusive Micro X6 Peptide. “It’s the only complete hexapeptide structure with six amino acids that effectively repair damage caused to the skin by sun, pollutants, and free radicals.
A unique complex of African baobab fruit, also known as the Tree of Life, that is rich in powerful antioxidants to keep the skin well moisturised, smooth and resilient, and protect it against future damage.”
