Tribute to Fua Haripitak
The Thai Art Archives at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is displaying rare drawings by the late master Fua Haripitak.
Curated by Thai Art Archives founder and director Gregory Galligan, the exhibition features 30 never-shown studies and sketches from the period of Fua’s life when he was restoring Thai classical murals, and highlights his role as a pioneering preservationist of Thai heritage.
The collections are on loan from the Fua Haripitak Archive in the collection of Tira Vanichtheeranont, owner of the 333 Gallery. The exhibition marks the TAA’s upcoming Fua Haripitak Project, 2013-14. The opening party take places on December 13 from 5 to 8pm.
