Dramatic tweet is a puzzler

Nichkhun Horvejkul, the Thai in the South Korean boy band 2PM, put out a tweet late last month that caused some alarm among his followers

“I don’t know who you are or what you expect to get from what you are doing,” Nichkhun tapped. “But this is useless for you. Think carefully before it gets out of hand.”
Fortunately his kid sister Sherleen – currently a finalist on “The Star” – stepped forward with an explanation after speaking to him. Nichkhun’s message, she said, was intended for a female Thai scam artist who was apparently poised to post text or photographic “proof” online that she was his girlfriend.
Observers (and you know who you are) suspect there’s something more serious to it than that, however – lots of women have claimed to be his girlfriend, usually just for fun. We wish Nichkhun the best, but hope he’s being honest about a mysterious tweet that evidently shouldn’t have been public in the first place.

Despite growing up on film sets where his dad MC Chatrichalerm “Than Mui” Yukol was directing, MR Chalermchatri “Adam” Yukol had no intention of following in his father’s footsteps – until he intercepted a phone call from one of the old man’s fans.
His father wasn’t home, so Adam – who was then about seven or eight – took a message. The film buff wanted to thank Than Mui for helping him kick drugs. The former addict had found his “cure” in the 1995 drama “Sia Dai” (“Daughter”).
Adam was struck by how cinema can change people’s lives, by its power to make viewers believe that things can be better. He decided then and there that he’d make movies too and started spending even more time on the film sets, taking odd jobs like serving drinks. He worked his way up to lighting, editing and assistant cinematographer, and to date he’s made some 30 short films.
Coming up on July 4 is his debut feature, the grittycop drama “Sarawat Maa Bah”.
