Monocle showcases its exclusive lifestyle products at a pop-up store in Siam Paragon's Sansiri Lounge

The best-selling global briefing magazine Monocole brings the very best of the urban lifestyle to Bangkok with a pop-up store in the Sansiri Lounge on the third floor of Siam Paragon.
The Monocle Shop, which finishes its week-long run tomorrow night, offers a range of stationery, fashion gear, home decor items and toys from many famous brands and created in collaboration with the magazine.
“As a lifestyle leader, we also try to offer new experiences and Monocle is well-known as a trend-setter. This is the first pop-up store of its kind in Thailand,” says Sansiri CEO Apichart Chutrakul.
It’s also the first retail display of the Monocle brand beyond its outlets London, Tokyo, Toronto, New York and Hong Kong.
“Our magazine focuses
on business, culture and design and we are used to collaborating with architects, designers and fashion brands to create exclusive editions. Today we have Monocle shops in many cities but this is our first retail experience in Southeast Asia,” adds Tyler Brule, Monocle’s editor in chief.
Among the goodies up for grabs is the limited edition Heritage G2 table radio designed by award winning Scottish radio manufacturer Revo Technologies. It reflects the charm of retro fashion but meets the demands of the modern lifestyle with iPhone compatibility, new iPad/iPhone remote control application and digi
tal amplifier. It’s also pre-programmed to the Monocle radio station.

Fashionistas will love the white-and-navy striped Espadrilles from family-run Spanish company Castaner. They’re made from natural materials and are ideal for strolling along the beach.
New York-based Stanley & Sons has come up with a useful denim apron for Monocle, which has leather straps and lots of pockets for kitchen utensils. Japanese brand Matsuyama presents its Sugi Body soap for Monocle, which melds the fragrances of a Swedish summer with steamy onsen scents.
USMC Tachio offers a collection of leather spectacle cases complete with magnetic fastening. Porter’s Baby Boston bag is designed to easily fit in the overhead bin on the plane and includes a laundry bag, a pouch for toiletries, document wallet and a zipped compartment for shoes.
Also ideal for the frequent travel are the simple navy T-shirt by Merz B. Scwhanen without a side seam and Travelteq’s light and absorbent travel towel made from hand-woven Irish linen.
The tableware line features quality ceramic coffee mugs created by Japanese household brand Hasamiyaki and wooden cups from veteran French designer Pauline Deltour of Discipline in ash and mahogany.
Monocle has fragrances too with its Scent One: Hinoki perfume produced by Comme des Garcons giving off a fresh, herbal aroma.
Other fashion must-haves include lightweight cotton half sock by Tabio, a summer lounge suit, jacket and shorts by Steteco, a wooden pen from Miidori, a travel planner by Mark’s and a tablet holder by Porter.
