The comfy new Monitor headphones grab every detail in your music

Marshall Monitor is a sleek and beautiful set of over-ear headphones with excellent sound quality.
The headphones reproduce solid and deep bass while providing clarity of music details. Best of all, Monitor is designed to have two different characteristics of sounds to suit your taste.
It looks classic in black and the headband and the ear cups are covered with black vinyl leather. Moreover, the cups’ beauty is further enhanced with a white script logo embossed on each cup.
It uses slender over-ear construction delivers superior noise isolation without the bulk. And its heavy-duty cast metal hinges, brass accents and plug make it full-out roadworthy. Monitor is also completely collapsible for convenient storage in a provided carrying pouch.
Monitor comes with a completely detachable double-ended coil cord with mic and remote. The cord can be worn on either the right or left side because Monitor provides 3.5mm socket on both cup. And the extra 3.5mm socket allows you to share your music with a friend by y daisy chaining two headsets.
And with the microphone embedded on the cord, you can use Monitor as a headset with your smart phone. And the remote on the chord lets you play and pause music when using with a Mac computer or iPhone or iPod and some smart phones. The remote worked with my Motorola RAZR Maxx.
Monitor features custom-made low distortion 40mm drivers, which cover the whole frequency range audible to the human ear or wide frequency response of 10Hz to 20kHz. It has very good rate of sensitivity of 99dB.
Apart from my RAZR Maxx, I tested Monitor with Asus Xonar Essence One Muses Edition headphone amplifier. I was very impressed with the music quality reproduced by Monitor and it’s comfortable for long hours. And Monitor was another gadget that I felt very happy to try. I enjoyed listening to hours of music with it.
Monitor uses the FTF (Felt Treble Filter) system to provide two characters of sound. With FTF on, the headphones deliver a warmer, laidback sounds but the when FTF is removed, Monitor provides brighter and clearer sounds.
The FTF insert, which is a small piece of felt, is located inside each cup. It functions as a barrier to produce a different tone of music. It is easy to remove the felts or re-insert them because the cups’ ear cushions are easy to be removed – they’re held on by magnets.
I love powerful bass so I enjoyed Monitor without out the felt mostly, but it could depend on the type of music you enjoy as to whether the felt should be fitted to the cups or not.
I found Monitor delivered solid and deep bass sounds while retaining music clarity and details of instruments.
For example, I enjoyed listening to “The Best of Sting”. The songs were reproduced with deep bass and warm voice and good details of music. I also enjoyed listening to “Best Audiophile Voices V”. For example, the voice on the song “You’ve Got a Friend” was warm and sweet, the double bass was powerful and the sound of the other instruments filled in the details. It was also fun to listen to listen to rock, like AC/DC’s “Black Ice”, with Monitor.
Marshall Monitor retails for Bt7,490 and it is available at Ash Shop at Mega Bangna, Siam Discovery, Be Trend at Siam Paragon and I Studio.
