Now there's a collection of body wash that will have your friends asking if you have a new perfume

LUX, A LEADING name in skin cleansing, has been pampering Thai ladies for more than 80 years and now it’s cosseting them even more with the launch of a new collection of fragrant skin treats developed with Givaudon, the world’s leading perfume producer.
The launch event, held on Tuesday at the St Regis Hotel, welcomed David Boyd, Global Fragrance director for Givaudon as well as the new Lux star, actress Davika “Mai” Hoorne, the charming actress.
According to Boyd, the floral note in the new collection originates from a floral fragrance that is widely used in premium perfume.
“The floral note represents mildness, femininity and alluring scent. The popular rose note contained in many perfume brands boosts the romantic sentiment.”
The new bath creams and soaps blend that enchanting fragrance with an exclusive silk essence technology that nourishes and moisturising the skin when bathing. Women will emerge from the shower with soft, smooth, and fragrant skin.
“I was lucky to be one of the first to experience the latest bath products,” says Davika. “When I got into the van later that morning, my mother and my friends asked if I was wearing a new perfume. They were amazed when I told them it was just bath cream.”
Boyd says that fragrances are created to take account of such geographic and demographic differences as climate, environment, ethnicity, tradition and culture and age.
“You define the smells you know from flowers, fruits, herbs and spices,” he says. “That’s why the Chinese love peonies, the Indians like sandalwood, and Thai orchid or jasmine.”
Creating an appealing world class fragrance is a major challenge, he adds. A through understanding of and expertise in fragrance creation are essential along with investment and attention to details. Those living in the tropics will be drawn to refreshing and lighter scents. For a tropical evening, a white floral fragrance is combined with oriental scents like jasmine for the perfect balance.
That’s why Lux Velvet Touch tempts with its mild fragrance of jasmine and almond oil.
Soft Touch, meanwhile, has a delicate fragrance of French rose and makes you feel warm and safe. This means richer and more complex floral perfumes, especially the French rose fragrance with warm ambers and a soft silky musk.
At the launch event, Boyd asked guests to try to blend a perfume built upon the three fragrance notes of Lux Soft Touch body wash.
The top note, which is the first note that comes out of the bottle and generates the initial impression, lasts about five to 10 minutes and includes bergamot, apple and red fruits, and peach, and apricot.
The middle note, comes after the top note fade out and demonstrates the real attribute of the perfume while enhancing the dispersion of the fragrance. Lasting two to four hours, it features rose, magnolia, violet, jasmine, and white floral. The Base note, which leaves the long lasting aroma on the body, works best in the four to five hours after application. The key fragrances of the base note include amber, watermelon, and soft musk. Boyd explained that creating a fragrance for a body wash is just as complicated as creating a bottle of premium perfume.
“There is a lot of experimentation and creativity involved to ensure that the fragrance complements the brand, but at the same time resonates with consumers. There are many layers to a fragrance for a body wash. With Lux, you are sure to be enjoying the premium blends of luxury bath time.”
