The Italian luxury brand celebrates its new boutique at the Emporium with some fun and exclusive charms

LEADING ITALIAN fashion brand Fendi celebrated the opening of its new boutique store at the recently renovated Emporium Shopping Complex last week with a showcase of the limited edition Karlito range.
The sleek new store features the brand’s iconic handbags, shoes and clothing in a space luxuriously outfitted in the style of the high- end brand.
To mark the opening, the store is treating its Thai customers by offering two exclusive Fendi designs: the Peekaboo bag and the Furorium, a Bag Bugs charm in a limited edition of just 30 pieces. Created exclusively for the Emporium, the Furorium plays on the venue’s name and comes in a mix of furs in midnight blue and pale pink and sports eyes decorated with crystals. Designed to complement the Karlito range, these fun fashion accessories are must haves for any Fendi fan.
Fans will also love the standout limited edition Karlito Capsule Collection, the fur-lined charm caricature inspired by Karl Lagerfeld. Karlito was launched as part of the autumn-winter 2014-2015 collection and has now expanded into the “Where is Karlito” campaign, exclusive to Fendi boutiques. The eye-catching Lagerfeld likeness can be seen on sneakers, sweatshirts, bags, iPhone covers and as an exclusive stand alone charm.
The store features a menswear zone as well as select accessories and leather products. The minimalist design and lighting highlight the displays and reflect the sophisticated and modern style.
Established in 1925 in Rome, Fendi began as a family owned handbag and fur business and grew over the next few decades. Fendi’s revolutionary approach to fur making helped set them apart from other designers, using different colours and techniques that contributed to its early success. However it was not until 1965 when Fendi collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld that the name really took off. Under Lagerfeld, one of the world’s most influential designers, Fendi expanded their range to clothes, sunglasses, gloves and even home furnishings. In 1985, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the brand, the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome hosted a Fendi exhibition. The brand has since also expanded to watches, jewellery, fragrances and shoes.
The Fendi name has dominated the fashion world for decades and, having been around for almost a century, has become synonymous with quality, practicality, endurance and style. The new store embodies all of these qualities and fits in perfectly among the other famous designer stores at the Emporium.
