Lao models from First Modelinglao have teamed up with Thai singers in the music video “ Monhuk Saolao ” to reflect the beauty and charm of Lao women and share in a musical experience.

Thai singer Petch Saharat from Topline Diamond worked alongside Lao artists Sam Intharaphithak, Taiy Akard, Jear Pacific, Ola Black Eyes, Kinoy, Tee Oudalay and Ton Aniloud to make the joint music video.

“ Monhuk Saolao ”, which portrays the gentle nature of Lao women, is released today on YouTube.

The founder of First Modelinglao, Viengsamone Chittarath, told Vientiane Times that models Mong, Koungnang, Ning, Tou Thida, Kitty, Anny May, Tock-tack, Mi-My and Bow had been invited to take part in the production.

He was very appreciative of the fact that models from his agency had attracted the attention of Thai artists who had suggested they work together. The joint production represented a step in the right direction between the two countries in sharing in cultural activities.

It also marked a good beginning for the artists and the entertainment scene as Laos and Thailand have joined with the other Asean member countries in forming the Asean Community this year.

Petch Saharat, who made his name with the hit song “ KhaoTai Sihuk Ai Bor ” and struck a chord with people in both Laos and Thailand, said the lyrics and visual content of “ Monhuk Saolao ” would go right to the heart of viewers and predicted the video would become very popular.

He liked the way the video highlighted the attributes of Lao women and brought artists from the two countries together in ways that would strengthen the bond between them.

By working together, the Lao and Thai artists laid the foundation for future cooperation in various fields of entertainment that would shine a spotlight on the abilities of Lao performers and models, he added.

He urged everyone to watch out for the music video and to applaud the Lao singers and models for their success in raising the profile of Lao culture, especially at a time when the Asean Community was starting out on its journey of regional integration.

The Lao contingent said they much appreciated the opportunity to perform alongside Thai artists in the music video and felt it aptly reflected the many charms of Laos.
