Congratulations are due to Sean Wotherspoon from Los Angeles, who has just been announced as the 2017 winner of Mike’s “Vote Forward” campaign.

His design presents itself in a bold colour scheme and draws inspiration from Nike hats of the 1980s.
The “Vote Forward” campaign started in March to find the best design for the next Air Max. Twelve designs from a variety of people around the world from the music industry, fashion and sneaker connoisseurs were revealed for a global voting campaign. Finally, Nike passed the winning trophy to Wotherspoon, a co-owner and operator of Round Two vintage shop in Los Angeles, USA.
Pannee Santiwiwatkul, Marketing Manager of Nike (Thailand) Limited said, “As the Air Max Day celebration has just ended, we now await the next exciting design to inspire us with a vision of the future.  We are pleased to hear that the design from Sean Wotherspoon will hit the retail scene soon.”
A fan of all things vintage as well as sneakers, Sean Wotherspoon expressed his passion through customising a design and merging the body of Air Max 97 and Air Max 1 with colours inspired by those famous Nike hats from the 1980s. Coupled with the frayed edge, velour collar lining and custom-wave tongue, these elements reflect a hint of vintage inspiration. “Sneakers are like your children and all you want to know is they are going to a good home,” Wotherspoon told the press,
His passion for conjuring the best outcome out of existing resources reflects the culture of creation and inspiration. Wotherspoon’s Air Max will be soon unveiled worldwide.
