The opium of the masses is not legal, illegal drugs
Re: “Major offensive in Thailand’s war on drugs” Have Your Say, yesterday.
Krataiboy mentions the evils of drugs, both legal and illegal, and singles out the huge damage caused by alcohol. But he/she fails to mention that the US prohibition law failed miserably and had to be repealed. American society did not collapse into anarchy as a result.
Krataiboy also neglects to mention the real factor behind turning populations into zombies: religion, the mainstream media spewing fake news and low-quality TV programmes, to mention just a few.
