As for ‘dogging’…

Hadrian Beasley offers some thought-provoking ideas about banging bulldogs, tailing terriers, rooting rottweilers and so on. He might, however, spare a thought about various imputations when it comes to putting his taxonomies together.
He should be mindful of using the word “dogging”. If he is already aware, or if he researches English colloquialisms, he will find that it has slightly different connotations to those he describes. It is quite an amusing excursion through British nocturnal recreational activities, notably in secluded woodland, around the back of business outlets and in unobtrusive car parks.
Being a reserved character, I’ve never done it myself, of course, but a former neighbour of mine gushingly described her encounters with rain-coated strangers and similarly garbed onlookers on the back seat of her Morris Minor aside the North Yorkshire moors. Apparently her husband filmed, directed and distributed the finished product to interested carnal aesthetes. Very, erm, refreshing.
