Oriental Magic
The Christmas and New Year celebrations are in full swing at the Mandarin Oriental. Tonight there's an extraordinary gala international buffet dinner (Bt5,400 net per person and Bt3,900 net for children) at Riverside Terrace. Among the highlights of the evening’s entertainment programme are the popular Hot Chili Band, an appearance by Santa, and breathtaking fireworks.
Lord Jim’s offers created a sumptuous buffet lunch featuring an array of delicious and tempting Thai, Japanese and European dishes while Le Normandie has put together set dinner to celebrate Christmas Eve with a great selection of fine wines. A pianist entertains.

Perfect at the Plaza Athenee
Celebrate Christmas Eve tonight at the Plaza Athenee and enjoy special festive menus. The Rain Tree Café has created a “Christmas Eve Gourmet Dining” with an enormous spread of classic and creative festive goodies. For lunch, there’s a special seafood buffet at Bt1,980 net per person. The Christmas Eve dinner costs Bt3,330 net per person, inclusive of sparkling wine and Christmas cocktails. 
At the Reflexions, Chef Thibault Chiumenti presents an original 5-course interpretation of festive season dining that incorporates both traditional and innovative influences into a delicious symphony of colour, texture and flavour, with optional expertly edited wine pairings. The cost is Bt3,330 net per person.

Seaside specials at the Hyatt Regency
The Hyatt Regency Hua Hin has lined up a series of dining specials to celebrate Christmas and New Year. Tonight Figs Restaurant presents a special festive buffet dinner. Carol singers and its very own Dejavu Trio will entertain. 
Tomorrow, enjoy an extraordinary Sunday brunch at its McFarland House from 11.30am, with a great combination of Western, Asian and Thai specialities, all complemented by a superb selection of desserts. 
New Year’s Eve dinner allows guests to explore all the Hua Hin classics in just one evening. The gala dinner starts with pre-dinner cocktails on the lawn and guests will explore an extensive spread throughout the hotel’s lawn areas, lagoons and restaurants, where Hua Hin’s famous spots will be recreated in miniature. They include the 100-year-old Chat Chai Market, the Night Market, the Summer Palace and Hua Hin’s landmark railway station, as well as a newly opened Hua Hin floating market.

Amazing at the Ambassador
The Ambassador Hotel Bangkok is organising a New Year’s Eve countdown and promises an outdoor Thai temple-style carnival complete with various games, food, plenty of drinks, in front of the  hotel’s main entrance. The fun begins at 5pm and carries on to the wee hours. 
Or you can opt for the sumptuous international buffet dinner being offered from 6pm at Am Café with live music from the resident band.
