Thaksin's call to rally the reds aggravated a peaceful protest

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 01, 2013

There is a civil disobedience rally in Thailand, which the police have to deal with. They have found it necessary to seek assistance from the army.

How much easier it would have been for them if the government within the government and the expatriate leader had not recruited so-called “pro-government demonstrators”. By serious aggravation of the peaceful demonstrators, this group has managed to get some bad publicity for the “anti-government rally”.
The death of a student by gunshot changes the whole game. Now the government is certainly on the back foot. If the artillery is army issue it will put all the previous claims against the army in perspective.
Will the Attorney General seek an arrest warrant for Yingluck Shinawatra, as she claims to be in charge? Will he seek a warrant for the arrest of Kwanchai Praipana for defamation of Thaksin Shinawatra for saying Thaksin had ordered him to mobilise supporters when any Attorney General knows that Thaksin cannot order anybody to do anything in Thailand while living abroad? This is the same Kwanchai who was accused of bringing in Cambodian black shirts, which he denied but could not explain why he had 20 buses outside his house.
Is it surprising that Joe Public wants to get rid of these people and will blow till they go?
