Mthai.com has come out with strategies to support various alternatives for businesses and customers and expects to gain Bt170 million revenue by the end of this year.
Patompong Sirachairat, vice president of the online marketing portal – under the umbrella of Mono Technology – said the firm has a strategy to provide online advertising, online solutions and digital commerce to customers.
With the online advertising, the firm provides online banners via www.mthai.com. It also provides a video preload advertising portal for businesses. Meanwhile, with its online solutions, the firm provides consultation to companies or agencies.
“We are a media that has solutions to provide online advertising, online promotion and mobile applications, which will enable them to provide services and products to end customers,” said Patompong.
Its digital commerce delivers movie on demand and online magazine via its website, smart phone and tablet. There are more than 10 categories of movies on demand such as Korean, comedy and action. The service fee for movie-on-demand is Bt29 per week. It has a target to reach about 100,000 customers by the end of this year. It plans to provide live concerts via its website next year.
It also provides Mpromotion as an online promotion service for companies, who will be able to promote their products and services to mobile customers and redeem prizes for members.
“E-commerce has high potential for growth in Thailand if companies have various channels to allow users to pay for their transactions. It will enable them to pay for products via online transaction, e-commerce and m-commerce,” said the vice president.
He added that about 60 per cent of mobile users paid for products and services via their mobile phone and 30 per cent pay via websites, a total of 10 million Internet users of the 28 million Internet users in Thailand.
The firm has plans to provide premium content such as drive and travel content. It also offers social features such as badges to members to provide entertainment to its members.
The firm expects to reach revenue of Bt170 million by the end of this year, with growth of more than 50 per cent. Online advertising and online solutions would provide 70 per cent followed by digital commerce 30 per cent. It now has about 680,000 members visiting www.Mthai.com per day. It will also provide digital content via tablet platform based on iOS, Android and Windows environment.
