With yet another leap in desktop evolution, there's a re-emergence of new home PCs with on-going innovations to serve the needs of both individual and multi-users.

You may have thought  the big desktop computer with the bulky beige box had disappeared completely – but that’s not the case, it’s just had a significant facelift.
With the wave of slim, sleek tablets and notebooks on the market today, the PCs are going through a transformation towards slimmer designs and touch screens. Customers are leading that push and demanding devices that are ideally suited to their lives.
Features like Intel’s Wi-Di* also mean that you can stream VDOs, photos or apps to your home entertainment system with just a few clicks.
People nowadays are rethinking what they know about PCs. Research firm IDC shows that the number of desktop PCs bought by consumers in the six countries in SEA (including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) in 2013 grew by 7 per cent compared with 2012. Australia saw a 5 per cent rise in sales for consumer desktop PCs signaling  interest is growing there too.
Ten years ago, PCs took up an entire desk or corner of the office. The new form factor of computing device will transform the user’s experience where Intel takes a leap in desktop evolution. There have been a lot of changes in this digital age, and Intel technology advancements have progressed at a fast pace also. What Intel offers will give way to an exciting array of stylish but yet powerful performance with more capabilities in PCs.
The clutter-free design of All-in-One (AIO) is a great choice while the portable model can be moved around, or even hung on the wall. Another popular alternative is the Intel Next Unit of Computing kit, known as NUC, which allows you to build your own mini-computer.
The traditional PC used to live in the very corner of working space or living room - but that is all going to change. So, let’s think outside the box to get the best device for you - how could your device contribute to each activity done with your family or by yourself? Ideally a device for the kitchen, the AIO is deceptively slim but it has the complete features of a desktop system. You can browse recipes on the Internet as well as cook in parallel with your favourite chef online. Furthermore, some models can lie completely flat with a built-in battery allowing you to easily carry them around. You can also create documents, share photos or watch movies anywhere on a large HD screen. All of these features are  offered through innovation to Intel’s architecture.
For something really special, Intel NUC will impress you with 4 inch ultra-compact PCs. The NUC is ideal for the home entertainment space, acting as a multimedia hub by tucking below or behind the screen. What the old traditional PC can do, the Intel NUC can also do and it only takes up 4 inches of space. The NUC is powered by the Intel 4th generation processor with Intel HD Graphics to ensure a brilliant HD experience.
But watching movies and listening to top-hit music is not all you can do with NUC. You can still browse your social media, check emails and if you hook it up to a smart TV with a web cam you’ll be able to video chat with the whole family visible on the screen. Now, the choice is yours: what will be your and your family’s best device to stay connected, entertained, as well as study in peace?
