For the first time, two Nissan models were ranked first in Japan’s sales rankings.
The Serena and Note were Japan’s best-selling models in two segments – minivans and compact cars – in the first half of this year.
The Note was launched in Japan in November 2016 with ProPilot, a key Nissan intelligent mobility technology that supports drivers by helping control acceleration, braking and steering during single-lane driving on the highway.
The technology is also available in the Serena and was recently introduced in the Nissan X-Trail in Japan.
Antoine Barthes, president of Nissan Motor Thailand, said that earlier this year, Nissan Motor Thailand launched the new Note with cutting-edge intelligent driving technologies.
“This is the first and only compact car with the intelligent around-view monitor that gives the driver a 360-degree view around the car.”
Also included is moving-object detection together with forward-collision warning and emergency-braking systems.
“These state-of the-art technologies, combined with best-in-class fuel efficiency at 20 kilometres per litre, low emissions of no more than 120 grams per kilometre, make the Note unrivalled in its category,” he said.
