It’s famed for its mouth-watering, super-soft milk cheesecake, made with French cream cheese and Hokkaido cream.
There are also sensational mousses of cheese and milk wrapped in crepes, the Salt & Camembert Cookie, another winning combination of Hokkaido and French ingredients, and Camembert Cheesecake with a chocolate filling.
The Honey and Gorgonzola Cookie is flavoured with Spanish rosemary and also boasts a chocolate filling.
The idea at the Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory is to create sweets that no one else has ever made, using carefully selected milk and high-quality cheese, combined with ingredients from around the world.
It’s touted as “a factory filled with creativity and innovation”, accented by a touch of nostalgia and “the unexpected”.
The Thailand branch arrives courtesy of Dolnapa Thammawatana and Khanchai Ongkamongkol, who love to travel and were particularly impressed on a trip to Japan with the rich flavour of the cookies at the Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory.
“Many Thais were bringing their cookies and cheesecake home from Japan, including all my friends,” says Dolnapa. “So we were sure everyone would love it if we opened a shop here in Bangkok.
“Apart from the three main attractions, we’re also introducing Cow Cow Ice, a soft ice cream in a cheesy cone, with exactly the same flavour as is found at the shop in Shinjuku in Tokyo.”
