ETDA orders face scans and ID checks for social media advertisers

Thailand’s Royal Gazette has announced strict new rules requiring platforms such as Facebook, TikTok and Instagram to verify advertisers’ identities and retain data for at least 90 days to curb online scams.

The Thai Restaurant Association has asked Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to expand Thais Help Thais Plus eligibility after small VAT-registered restaurants reported sharp customer losses.
Egg prices in Thailand have increased by 20 satang per egg from 8 June as layer farmers face higher maize and animal feed costs, although producers say actual selling prices remain below the recommended farm-gate ceiling.
